Before your first consultation you’ll be asked to fill out an online intake form with your personal details and your medical history. This will be kept strictly confidential. During your initial consultation ( 1 to 1½ hour ) we’ll talk about issues you’d like to address. This can range from feeling more energized, dealing with anxiety, loosing weight or toning down some PMS or menopausal symptoms to keeping your marbles together at a later stage in life.
A full diet analyses will show any shortfalls or excess in nutrients that influence your physical or mental well being. This also gives me a good overview of the types of foods and drinks you are used to so that recommendations can be made that fit your life and therefor are sustainable without relapse. We’ll explore habits and factors in your direct environment that possibly influence your well being (eg symptoms of hormone imbalances, emotional eating, sugar cravings, digestive health, overeating, stress factors etc), and discuss practical recommendations for diet and lifestyle adjustments, tailored to you, that will address these.
If weight loss is your reason for consultation we will, in agreement with you, also analyze your body composition through bioelectrical impedance analyses (BIA), waist circumference, frame size and overall physique to determine in what way this may influence fat loss and what your healthy weight range would be (read more about the Coast Nutrition approach to body fat loss here).
What is next?
After your initial consultation you’ll receive a written summary with recommendations and I’ll follow up with you over the phone or video call (free of charge). If you feel the need for more guidance in implementing the recommended diet and lifestyle changes in person or simply would like me to track your progress, you may wish to book in a follow up consultation. You can choose to book these follow up consultations on a casual basis or, if you wish more structured support, you can choose to follow the 12 weeks accountability program.
Changing your diet and lifestyle takes time and often comes with emotional hurdles. During the accountability & guidance program the underlying habits and environmental factors that are keeping you from reaching your well being goals are addressed in a step-by-step manner. This will lead to positive behaviour changes that will affect how you feel in your day to day life.
During the accountability & guidance program we’ll meet fortnightly in person or through video call for a follow up consultation (45 minutes, 6 times). This motivates to stick to your behaviour change and gives the opportunity to discuss unexpected barriers that you’ll need a strategy for to prevent relapse. In the weeks between our in person/video meetings we will schedule “check-in” consultations over the phone (circa 15 minutes) to keep you on track.

- Follow up accountability & guidance program (12 week program with a fortnightly in person/video chat follow up consultation of 45 minutes and a “check in” phone consultation of 15 minutes during the weeks in between), your investment: $399,-

The benefit of video consultations is that you can schedule consults from wherever you are, for example during your lunch breaks at work or in the evening from your home once your children are in bed.
During the pandemic Alert Level 2 it is still encouraged to book video consultations rather than in person consultations, but if you wish you can now visit the practice in person. Video consultations are offered permanently to suit your lifestyle and time schedule.
Support from your direct environment is critical in achieving your goals. Therefor you’re always most welcome to bring a support person to consultations if you wish. For your initial consultation please bring along any blood test results and medication or supplements you may be using.
